2022 In Review

What Doesn’t Break You, Makes You Stronger

The last six months have been a little shaky. There’ve been highs: in late June Cathi attending the Glenn Murcutt Master Class. There has been inconvenience: Cathi having to isolate for a week in Newcastle (having caught COVID at said Master Class). Then a revisit to NSW to complete the same Master Class, but this time hosted at architect, Peter Stutchbury‘s own fabulous home in the Northern Beaches, NSW.

Despite the inconvenience after the multiple years waiting to attend this year’s Master Class, the inspiration and learnings gained have been absolutely worth it. The experience has replenished and inspired Cathi beyond her expectations, and she looks forward to sharing the greater appreciation of site, landscape, and spirit of place, as relevant to CCA’s current and future projects.

Change and (More) Residential Projects

2022 has been a brilliant year designing new homes (well, alterations and additions to existing homes!), with multiple Planning Permit applications in Carlton, Carlton North and Fitzroy North. As a result, 2023 looks to be a busy and positive year of construction. We look forward to seeing each design translate into each respective renovated home anticipated. 

Besides a steady flow of projects developing throughout the year we’ve also been creating, studying, learning and reviewing all sorts of business analyses and processes.

It’s been a full year but all up we’re inspired, soon to be refreshed, and once we’ve had a good long rest over the Christmas break, ready for action.
