COMMUNITY AND DIVERSITY: ADAPTIVE REUSE OF A CHURCH

Adaptive re-use is a great basis for successful sustainable design

Our recent project, “The Pilgrimage” looks to adapt an abandoned country church into a contemporary community meeting place.

Church Adaptive Reuse

The Pilgrimage at Spring Terrace, near Orange, NSW is intended to support local growers by utilising local produce in the restaurant and market place; the restaurant, café and shop provide jobs to people in the area; and an outdoor amphitheatre extends the opportunity for celebration, gatherings and recreation.

We’ve just published Concepts for our “Pilgrimage” proposal. It can be found here.
