CATHI’S SWIM TO SAVE LIVES
Cathi’s Swim To Save Lives
“More than 1 in 3 young people in Australia is currently experiencing a mental health difficulty. But there’s an even bigger problem: more than 1 million of them are not accessing professional support. And, suicide remains the leading cause of death for 16-24 year olds in Australia.”
This March, Cathi’s swimming to make sure young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need. By sponsoring her challenge, you’ll be helping to prevent youth suicide.
Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia? That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.
According to the Reachout website:
- Your $300 donation could provide a moderator to keep the ReachOut online forums safe for 75 young people.
- Your $500 donation could provide 120 young people access to ReachOuts vital support services.
- Your $750 could provide after-hours moderation for 2 nights to keep young people safe.
- And even better would be your $1000 donation could make a life-changing difference to 240 young people to get the support they need to feel better.
Cathi’s not doing this for fame or fortune. She’s not even doing this to swim alongside Ian Thorpe. She’s doing this to help the kids.
It starts in March, but you can DONATE NOW. All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they’re facing.
