Wow. Another year finishing?!

I’m sure you’ll agree. This year, as compared to the last few, is finishing with a feeling of accomplishment for the 2024 business year, along with a sense of positivity for the year ahead. 

We take this opportunity to thank our wonderful clients, collaborators and the CCA team, for your support in 2024. Thank you for being a fabulous part of our journey!

Cathi Colla Architects’ studio will be closed for Christmas and summer break from Thursday 19/12/24 until Tuesday 14/1/25.

We’ve been busy working on some fantastic projects. It’s been a year of consolidation and a lot to life! In our ongoing quest for continuous improvement, it’s been a year of evolving our sustainability credentials and our ways of working.

Two of our home designs (alterations and additions to existing homes), have finished construction during the year. Another residential alterations and additions project began construction onsite, just last month. We’ve a renovation of a quirky old schoolhouse (new home) underway, as well as a new home design for a home in the hills, near Mt Canobolas, near Orange NSW.

In March, Cathi became a Certified Passive House Designer. This means that the value of a CCA design now has added benefits of improved health and economic value, as well as added ‘feel good’ benefits of a reduced carbon footprint (if constructed to Passive House Standards).

We’ve also been doing even more reflecting, developing and writing about designing and building for better outcomes and greater value add.

We’re now spreading the word in new sections of our fab new website with specific pages like:

• Designing with conscience

• Selecting better materials & technology, and

• Innovatively working together.
