Best Wishes for the Summer Festive Season

Another year finishing?!

I’m sure you’ll agree that this year, as compared to the last few, is finishing with a definite feeling of accomplishment and moving forward (beyond those last few awful COVID-19 years).

Thank you for your support this past year. Thanks also for being a fabulous part of our journey!

Cathi Colla Architects wish you a wonderful summer and festive season.

We hope that your summer break will give you time to relax and recharge for the exciting year ahead.
We also wish you well for the year ahead – wishing your 2024 is a year of good health, well-being and a year to enjoy and succeed.

Cathi Colla Architects’ studio will be shutting down the studio and our phones over the summer break.

The studio will be closed for business from Thursday 21/11/23. We reopen in the new year on Monday 8/1/24.

2023 has been another full year of doing, thinking, reflecting and growing.

The year has included some bonuses, like finally managing to visit a renovation project completed during lockdowns. We’ve yet to photograph it, but it’s been fabulous to see it ‘in the flesh’, and hear our client’s wonderful observations and enjoyment of her new home.

We’ve also been ramping up our knowledge in the areas of Passive House (and sustainability) and in business acumen. Cathi’s also returned to teaching at the University of Melbourne (after many years’ break), this time to tutor Masters level students in the subject “Architectural Practice”.

We’ve also been developing a new service, specifically aimed at unlocking the value of home and site, extending individual home design (or alterations and additions) – to a more comprehensive use of a site into “multi-generational living”. This idea is fuelled by the State Government’s recent allowance for accommodating a ‘granny flat’ on a site; plus a heightened awareness of the need for ‘densification’ of our inner and ‘missing middle’ suburbs. Keep an eye out early in 2024 for more on this!

See you in the New Year!

Cathi and our wonderful team at Cathi Colla Architects
